I’m proud to officially announce my candidacy for the Republican nomination to represent the 86th District in the Ohio House of Representatives.
As a lifelong resident of this community, I know firsthand the values and work ethic that make our district strong. My family has roots in every corner of this district, from Marion to Milford Center, Byhalia to Magnetic Springs, and everywhere in between. These communities are more than places on a map; they’re home to friends, neighbors, and generations of families like mine who believe in hard work, faith, and service to others.
I’ve had the privilege of serving on Marysville City Council and working for four years in the Ohio House, where I learned what effective, accountable leadership looks like, and what happens when government forgets who it’s supposed to serve.
I’m running to reform Ohio’s broken property tax system, cut bureaucratic waste, and defend the conservative values that built our state. Families across our district deserve a government that respects their hard work, protects their God-given freedoms, and keeps more of their money where it belongs, at home.
I’m ready to bring local experience, common sense, and proven conservative leadership to the Statehouse. I look forward to meeting you and earning your vote in this election.
Meet Steven WolFE:
Steven was born and raised in Marysville, where strong conservative values, faith in God, and community shaped the foundation of his life. A proud graduate of Marysville High School, Steven went on to attend Davidson College, where he played football while earning a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in history.
Today, Steven is honored to serve as City Councilman for Marysville’s 1st Ward. In this role, he works to ensure that city government remains responsive, transparent, and focused on the needs of local families. Steven serves on the Public Safety & Service Committee and represents City Council on both the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Cemetery Advisory Board, helping to strengthen the services and amenities that make Marysville such a great place to live.
In addition to his work on City Council, Steven has spent the last four years as a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives, where he clerked the House Workforce and Higher Education Committee. Through this experience, he’s gained valuable insight into the legislative process and a deep understanding of the issues facing Ohio’s families, students, and workforce.
Steven’s roots run deep across both Union and Marion Counties with family living in all corners of the district. Those close ties keep him grounded and remind him who he’s fighting for: the families, farmers, and small business owners who make our communities strong.
Outside of public service, Steven remains an active member of The Rock Church Marysville, where he continues to serve as a member of the sound team, greeting team and children’s ministry. Steven is proud to call the 86th House District home and is dedicated to ensuring it continues to be represented by someone who shares its values.
